James D. “Jim” Windsor, 51, of Peoria Heights, passed away at 11:36 a.m. on Thursday, June 13, 2013, at his residence. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, June 19, 2013, at Clary Funeral Home, 3004 West Lake Avenue in Peoria. Jim was born on December 23, 1961 in Peoria, a son of Roy L. and Elizabeth (Schumacher) Windsor. They survive. He is also survived by his brothers, David S. Windsor and Tim (Amy) Windsor, all of Peoria; sister, Carolyn (Jim) Martin of Frankfort; two nephews; and three nieces. Jim was the owner and operator of Windsor Real Estate Appraisals in Peoria Heights. He was an associate member of the Appraisal Institute, a past member of Peoria Area Home Builders Association and a member of the Peoria Area Association of Realtors. Memorial contributions may be made in Jim’s memory to The Salvation Army or The Children’s Miracle Network.

Barbara and I wish to express our sorrow at Jim's passing. We spent many evenings sitting with Jim at Rivermen games over the past 15 years. We were glad to be able to call him our friend. He always expressed a positive attitude, even during the tough times in his life. He had a strong relationship with God, with whom he will reside for etrernity.
Jim, we will miss you.

Jim was a great friend! I played softball for several years with him. Went to Cardinal baseball games and just this past December and March, went to Bloomington, In. to see the Hoosiers play basketball! Had a great time! Jim was a straight shooter and did not beat around the bush. He told it like it was. Admired this trait in him! He was someone who would do anything for you. Just name it and he would be there! He will be missed! My condolences go out to the Windsor Family!

I am so sorry for your loss. Jim was a good friend of my husband Kevin, who passed away 2 years ago. He always made sure to check in every so often to make sure the girls and I were doing ok. He was a great guy who was always there to help or cheer you up if needed. We will miss him temendously.
